The Filmmakers
Joe Marks (director) is a filmmaker local to Austin and a graduate of the Radio-Television-Film program at U.T. Austin. A documentary cinematographer with a specialty in musical performance, he has filmed the likes of Jeffy Tweedy from Wilco and Mike Mills of R.E.M. His music videos for Austin's bands have screened at local festivals and around the world. His most recent work screened at the Hyperreal Film Club and the historic Paramount Theater in downtown Austin.
Timo Nelson (producer, sound) is an award-winning sound mixer from Austin, Texas. He graduated from U.T. RTF in 2023 and during his time at the university won the Cinema Audio Society Student Recognition Award for 2022. His passion for all things sound leads him to provide production sound services to many local documentary productions. A music lover from birth, his love for the blues extends from the rich history of field recording on porches and in graveyards.
De Randle (director of photography) is a photographer and cinematographer from Austin. He specializes in documentary photography and fashion, and has covered stories on the struggles and resistance of working-class people. He has shot for Nike Jordan in Paris and operated a successful studio in Austin.
